It might have been more than 25 years since it first aired, but Sex and The City is still at the forefront of popular culture today. The cult Nineties TV show's arrival on Netflix earlier this year brought its iconic characters to a whole new generation – as well as launching endless debates about certain now-questionable plot-lines – while longtime fans eagerly await the third season of the spin-off show And Just Like That, that is currently being filmed in New York.
Sex and The City's fashion, of course, is still considered the height of on-screen style, thanks to the creative genius of Patricia Field. The stylist extraordinaire is credited with bringing the likes of Manolo Blahnik shoes and Fendi Baguette bags to the mainstream via the always-fabulously dressed Carrie Bradshaw – and, most recently, she has turned her talents to dressing the cast of Emily In Paris, too.

Last night's Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week provided further proof of the SATC wardrobes' timeless appeal, with one particular look that for avid fans of the show will have looked particularly familiar.
In amongst the many head-to-toe-black, oversize and typically subversive ensembles that made up Demna's SS25 collection, one stood out for its similarity to an iconic look worn by Samantha Jones in season one of the show. Namely, Balenciaga's look seven, that was a near-exact replica of the the black lace lingerie, fur coat and suspenders get-up that Samantha memorably wears to seduce Charlotte York's doorman in the episode entitled 'Bay of the Married Pigs'.
The Georgian designer is yet to confirm whether he was, in fact, referencing the legendary scene, but the similarity simply can't be denied.
Is Sex and The City style officially making its grand return to the runway? We certainly hope so.
