Margot Robbie kicked off the Barbie press tour in style.

The first press event for Greta Gerwig's highly-anticipated film was held yesterday in LA, and the film's star pulled up with a life-size version of one of the doll's most cherished accessories. The film's official Instagram account shared two pics of the film's star posing with a vintage, bubblegum-pink Corvette, while dressed in a fun monochromatic look that perfectly matched the convertible's paint job.

The on-theme ensemble was comprised of a balconette bra top, a high-waisted pleated miniskirt, and peep toe stiletto heels. Further accessories included a small matching tote bag, dainty drop earrings, and a pair of white oval sunglasses. Robbie also sported flawless natural-glam makeup, and her hair was styled in voluminous waves.

While yesterday was the official start of the film's press tour, Robbie and co-star Ryan Gosling previously gave a primer on Barbiecore dressing during an appearance at Las Vegas's CinemaCon. The actress wore a playful pink-and-white gingham Prada set, consisting of a wrap miniskirt and a bralette with scalloped black trim across the bust. In pics taken outside the event, she added a long matching gingham coat and a mini pink Prada purse, finishing off the look with baby pink peep-toe heels from Christian Louboutin, a gold Chanel anklet, and drop earrings.

Meanwhile, Gosling embraced casual Ken style in a hot-pink collared bomber jacket layered over a white T-shirt that read 'From Director Greta Gerwig' in the film's title font (which will hopefully become available as merch). He also wore dark grey trousers, a dark brown leather belt, and sand-coloured boots.
