To mark his much-anticipated return to Milan Fashion Week after a brief hiatus in New York, Jeremy Scott went all out for his AW22 Moschino show – and it was one of his most bonkers collections to date.
Known for bringing the fun back into the often-serious fashion world, Moschino shows have ranged from the tongue-in-cheek and satirical to downright mad over the years, inspired by everything from fast food and Spongebob to Barbie.
For AW22, however, Scott took inspiration from a stately home, transforming his star-studded line up of models into representations of lavish pieces of furniture. According to the show notes, Scott 'toured the concept of a well-appointed home—and what its finery both signifies and suggests, with a weft of the surreal.'

And surreal it was indeed, with Adut Akech as a grandfather clock, Bella Hadid in a 'keyhole' dress, Gigi Hadid rocking a chest of drawers and models dressed as everything from lamps and carpets to candelabras and a grand harp. One look even featured a champagne bucket bag – pure genius!
All this, and Jeremy Scott took his bow in a full-blown space suit, in a tribute to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.
