Farfetch has launched an amazing archive Chanel collection today that will satisfy any fashion fan. The online retailer has teamed up with vintage-specialist store Rewind on a 50-piece collection of clothes, jewellery and accessories from the French fashion house's collections spanning from 1988 to 1991.

Originally belonging to socialite Catherine McNulty’s private collection, these pieces were offered to Rewind's owner Claudia Ricco when McNulty passed away – and are now being sold exclusively through Farfetch, giving shoppers a rare opportunity to tap into a unique part of the house's history.

'When we first saw this particular collection, it felt as though we had opened up an Aladdin’s cave of the most fabulous pieces, with the most glamorous stories behind them,' Ricco said of the drop.
