Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello chose to stage his SS20 collection in the same location as the few seasons previous - a long runway extending out from the foot of Paris' most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower.
Where in September 2018, for Vaccarello's SS19 collection, the designer chose to artificially flood the runway, to give the appearance that the models were walking on water, this year the elements intervened to the same effect.
Stormy Paris saw to it that the open-air runway received a healthy dose of rain, mixing with the countless laser beams flanking the aisle, adding to the overall drama of the show.
The front row was also noteworthy, with Kate Moss, Rami Malek, Amber Valletta, Catherine Deneuve and Salma Hayek all in attendance.
As for the collection itself: Vaccarello's signature dramatic shoulders and deep V-shaped necklines mingled with cut-off jeans, chainmail tank tops, lamé midis and a riff on the original Le Smoking suits of the 1960s.
