Whilst you're prepping your 2019 holiday wardrobe, the fashion world has already moved onto Autumn and Winter dressing (heck, menswear is already diving into 2020's Spring wardrobes).
Still, you can never be too prepared. And we'll always look forward to those back-to-school vibes that only saddle bags, blazers and loafers can illicit. Thankfully, then, the first drop of Celine's pre-fall collection is here to give you all those warm and fuzzy 'fresh start' feelings.
Arriving in store in London, Paris and the rest of Europe today ahead of its global July 1st release, the collection 'explores the new La Parisienne aesthetic and twisted Bourgeois style' with a focus on daywear and tailoring. It is 'anchored in the house codes from the late 70s', according to the Hedi Slimane-directed brand.
Multi-hyphenate Slimane, who took over the historic fashion house from Phoebe Philo in February of 2018, shot the campaign, which features a slight change in aesthetic from his SS19 collection. Far from the explicit rock 'n' roll and decidedly night-time style of his work at Saint Laurent (and inaugural Celine collection), Celine's latest iteration is much lighter.
Practical yet glamorous, you've got work-ready shirts, city-stomping boots and oversized leather bomber jackets.
