Hollywood dermatologist to the stars Dr Harold Lancer has claimed that he has been inundated with calls from clients concerned over their skin during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, Dr Lancer told Page Six Style that he had received dozens of calls a day from his high-profile patients who were seeking advice on how to look after their skin during lockdown and booking procedures for when lockdown is over.

Dr Lancer has famously worked with Victoria Beckham, Beyoncé, Ellen DeGeneres and Kim Kardashian over the years.

‘I’m getting around 20-45 calls a day coming through to my nurses for a variety of cosmetic and medical issues,’ the dermatologist, who is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, stated.

‘The majority of my clients are high-profile people, whether in entertainment or politics and they require a lot of care, but most of the people I see are extremely disciplined about home skin care. It’s about ensuring care when you can’t see patients for long spurts of time.’

It's unclear which of his clients Dr Lancer is referring to.

Speaking about Beckham, the dermatologist said that she was ‘military’ about her skincare routine.

‘She has a firm concept of the word “programme” and “discipline”— she’s the poster child for discipline, avoiding craziness and temptation. She follows the military concept of maintenance. I’ll absolutely see her when lockdown is over.’

Last year, the fashion designer opened up about her skin issues and working with Dr Lancer.

‘I've had problematic skin from a very young age,’ the mother-of-four wrote on her World of Victoria Beckham website.

‘It’s hereditary. My mother suffered as well and it’s hard to understand how that makes you feel unless you’ve been through it. Skin issues make you incredibly self-conscious. When you talk to people, you don’t want to look them in the eye because you’re so self-conscious. Dr. Harold Lancer helped sort my skin out.’

Dr Lancer said that he has had over 1,000 appointments booked for late summer with his regular clients - in the hope that lockdown will be over by then - who he claimed are wanting to get Botox and fillers.

‘The first week or two of lockdown, I get this urgent message with a slew of photographs to my cell phone from an entertainment attorney, a young woman who’s been a patient of mine since law school,’ he told the news outlet.

The dermatologist explained that the client had purchased a home skin peel which caused second-degree burns. He said that it took 12 days to remedy her skin, with the help of photos, phone calls and medication delivered to her home.

‘Don’t go looking for a quick and relatively less expensive fix because that’s when you’ll get into more trouble,’ he explained.

‘You have to have the positive knowledge that it’s never too late. Whatever has passed, with time can be resorted.’
