Iris Law's bleached blonde cropped haircut and shaved eyebrows have become something of a signature aesthetic for the actor and model, but she's no stranger to experimenting with the rest of her beauty look, too.

The matcha/obscure snack connoisseur (Law's TikTok is a treasure trove of 'girl dinner' suggestions) is all about embracing the whimsical side of make-up and hair with sparkly, fairy dust eyelids, Miffy barettes and mismatched manicures. On the red carpet, Law often couples her grunge-glam fashion sensibilities with creative, show-stopping make-up; Twiggy-esque, floating eyeliner, ombre khaki eyeshadow and eighties draped blush are all a go for the 22-year old.

In a recent shoot for Chinese-based publication Rouge Fashion Book, Law leaned into her witchy side with spiky, exaggerated feline eyes created by make-up artist Bea Sweet.

Against a backdrop of wispy, face-framing pieces of hair (expertly created by Soichi Inagaki with styling by Nathan Klein), Law's statement eyes lent a moodiness that feels timely for the Halloween season. As much as we love a dramatic and terrifyingly good transformation ala Heidi Klum, Law's nod to the eerie is undeniably chicer for evenings out and is far easier to achieve — especially since Sweet has detailed all the products she's used on the shoot.

Sweet relied on Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer to enhance Law's complexion and applied a combination of Danessa Myricks Balm Contour and Gucci Beauty Bronzing Powder to carve out cheekbones. For eyes, Sweet used Huda Beauty's jet black and long-wearing Life Liner Duo, Urban Decay 24/7 Mono Shadow in Blackout and KVD Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper Black.

Sweet also used Gucci Face Gloss just above the eye socket to capture the light, but a tiny amount of sheeny eyeshadow will do a similar trick without risking any smudges. The spiky eyelashes were all down to precise application of Tatti Lashes Pointed Wisp falsies 'cut into sharp points' and lashings of KVD Beauty Full Sleeve Long + Defined Tubing Mascara. Lips were kept soft and glossy with Charlotte Tilbury's classic Pillow Talk lip liner under a generous layer of Gucci Lip Balm in No More Orchids.

Gothic eyes and heroic liners were big news at Menswear Fashion Week earlier this year, a trend that designers such as Feben, Rodarte, and Antonio Marras all carried into their AW23 outings. Halloween make-up has never looked so chic...
