These Next Level Fantasy Photos Show The Magic Of Textured Hair

If you haven't checked out husband and wife duo Kahran and Regis Bethencourt aka CreativeSoul Photography's next level fantastical work, then you're in for a treat.

On a mission to bring ethereal, out of this world imagery featuring stereotypically predominantly white subcultures like steampunk to a new generation of people of colour, the US-based couple are making diverse representation totally epic.

With holographic back drops, whimsical make-up and a whole range of textured hair styles, CreativeSoul's AfroArt series celebrates the versatility and endless styling options for natural hair and aims to broaden the traditional narratives for young people of colour.

'In the AfroArt series, our hope is that black children (and parents) look at these photos and see themselves represented in ways that they have not seen before,' the Bethencourts told Teen VOGUE. 'We also hope that they are inspired by the hairstyles and feel more confident about their own natural hair journey, skin, and culture.'
