Lucy Boynton Reveals A Short Pink Bob For Wimbledon

With Wimbledon back for 2024, we're not only enjoying the tennis, but also all the court-side style. From David Beckham to Jameela Jamil, day one saw some high profile attendees, including actor Lucy Boynton who looked remarkably different thanks to a striking hair transformation.

Pictured in a full Celine look, the star of Bohemian Rhapsody, The Politician, and The Ipcress File showcased her long bob haircut in a palette of bright pink – quite the contrast to her signature blonde she's best known for.

Naturally, colour changes are dictated by Boynton's profession, and it's not the first time she's been seen embracing experimental shades, whether rich copper or icy-blue. But, equally, the 30-year-old is known for her beauty looks that ooze creativity in ways that feels unbounded by conventional standards – so this new look could be for fun as much as for a role.

'I see a great colourist, Mark Selley in London, who I followed from salon to salon,' Boynton told Bazaar recently. 'He has kind of magic hands and is the only reason I have any hair left after the amount of colour changes I've had to do.' Boynton is not alone in trying a new hue for summer 2024, with Alexa Chung recently revealing a colour change to 'ginger chocolate' – debuted at the Serpentine Summer Party in London, and Julia Roberts adopting 'sunflower blonde' – first seen at fundraiser hosted by US President Joe Biden.
