And just like that: Carrie Bradshaw's teased and tousled hair is back and better than ever – but not in the curly way you might have imagined. Enter: the bouffant side pony.

Spotted on the set of the And Just Like That TV series earlier this week [5 June, 2024], Sarah Jessica Parker sports a beehive-ponytail hybrid hairstyle that is reminiscent of her Sex And The City character's Y2K look. It's, in equal parts, retro and modern.

Although she has an arsenal filled with classic beauty looks, SJP's most recently revived hairstyle is one that takes us all the way back to the year 2000. Not convinced? Take a look for yourself, below:

And to compare, let's remind ourselves of some of her most nostalgic looks from the show:

Besides not having aged a day, the style of her locks is almost just the same as it was in the early 00s. Iconic, truly. However, the look has had a slight voluminous makeover, with added height teased in around the crown of her head. It's giving bedhead chic but in the best way possible, of course.

SJP's longtime hairstylist, Serge Normant was the mastermind behind the 'do and even shared a closer look at the details with his very own post on Instagram.

As shown, Serge has gathered the hair over one side of Sarah's shoulder, fixing the ponytail in place with an elastic. To hide the hair tie, Serge has wrapped an inch-sized amount of strands, resulting in a more polished, thought-out finish.

Would you dare to revive such a throwback noughties beauty look but with the added twist of XXL volume for days? 2024 hair never looked so good!
