Dua Lipa is living proof that we'll never be fatigued by the ongoing celebrity copper club. After a long stretch with her naturally brunette hue, Dua Lipa benched her signature dark hair in favour of a warm cherry tint earlier in October last year. The singer debuted her fresh red glaze via Instagram after a period of radio silence and has stuck by her crimson locks ever since.

Whether it be a sleek braided ponytail or an elegant red carpet up do, time and time again, the singer has proven that her primary bright hue can be chic as well as cool. The latest evidence? A set of crimped ruby waves à la The Little Mermaid.

This isn't the first time the Barbie star has got playful with her hair colour. Lipa had a short stint of vibrant two-toned red hair back in June 2020, and a temporary copper hue for the Versace AW campaign in 2021. Since then, she has trialled blonde, black and everything in between, not to mention, she's been the proud owner of multiple bobs, trailing extensions and even a mermaid-approved pink wig. Of course, red hair and all its variations have been continuously trendy since early 2022. You may remember Kendall Jenner was the first to signpost its growing popularity, with Megan Fox, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid and Lucy Boynton all committing to letterbox locks at some point in the last year. Emily Ratajkowski also sported a rusted copper hue for a time, before returning to her signature brunette.

It's safe to say, the scarlet hair fever is staying put for now. TikTok's cherry coke colour garnered 38.2 million views last year, with cowgirl copper remaining one of the major colours of the season.
