2020 has really been the year of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. While we can barely muster the effort to run a brush through our hair these days, Chris has not stopped creating some of the most iconic hairstyles of 2020... even in a pandemic.
Take Jennifer Lopez for example.
He's given the singer bombshell hair, a wavy bob, Rapunzel-length extensions and even chunky 1990s highlights. Bear in mind that Jen is just one of his clients, Kim Kardashian West being one of the others.

So, while we quite literally threw our 2020 diary in the bin, the hair guru has been filling his up and providing us with daily inspiration.
His latest work, is something of a throwback to one of our personal all-time favourite shows, Gladiators. You know the one, with the Scottish referee and the men and women in leotards running up a travelator?
Think voluminous crimped curls that are so big they must be hiding a ton of secrets. Lopez even has a side parting that makes us want to re-watch every single episode of Saved By The Bell and cry all over Zack and Kelly's wedding again.
Why did the 1990s ever have to end?
Best of all, Chris captioned his latest work with the comment: 'Think I’m going to do a Jlo inspired curly hair tutorial for my next YouTube. [sic]'
Admittedly, we certainly don't have anywhere near the skill level of Chris, but as if that will stop us trying.
