This Season Is for the Shape Shifters
Enlarged proportions and striking textures take center stage.
Sometimes, bigger is better. Meticulous craft, lush texture, explosive 3-D silhouettes, and extreme volume—these were the watchwords for this season’s most risk-taking designers. Talents like Off-White’s Ibrahim Kamara, Y/Project’s Glenn Martens, Vaquera’s Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee, and Melitta Baumeister are answering the question of what to wear now with inventive, conceptual creations for the fashion-forward. Below, meet the bold new establishment of “shape shifters.”
