"As a religious TCM viewer, it was exciting to see (or imagine) callouts to some of my favorite classics. At Oscar de la Renta, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim's strapless dress, with a floating skirt as light as a Napoleon crust, was a favorite. Combined with the leaf prints in the collection, I kept thinking of Grace Kelly's look from "Rear Window." And, making my way through the maze of rarely-exhibited Noguchi sculptures at The Row, I was immediately reminded of that scene in "Funny Face" where Dovima contemplates a Noguchi almost as lissome as she is. The Blinged out Kitten Heels at Tom Ford
There was a lot to love about Tom Ford's more-is-more '80s-inspired collection. It was joyful! It was colorful! It was set to the Pointer Sister and I love them! There was so much colorful animal print and sequins! But as someone whose personal style skews on the tamer side, I loved the very walkable crystal-and-animal-print covered kitten heels.
