There is art. There is commerce. And then there is Art Basel, which began as a convention for gallerists, and somehow spun into a week-long rave for people who think Damien Hirst makes the only Shark Tank worth watching. This year, fashion brands went particularly hard on collaborations and co-signs, which means even those without VIP access can purchase a piece of the collectible action. Scroll through for all the style debuts during the annual art extravaganza, including some that would (hint!) make fabulous gifts for the museum-worthy friends on your list.
Prada’s iconic triangle was out in full force at Prada Extends Miami, a party and art experience curated by electronic artist Richie Hawtin (whom you might know as Plastikman). The light show experienced by guests like Maya Hawke and Amalie Gassmann sadly can’t be bought, but the Prada hair clips worn by seemingly every starlet in attendance? Absolutely yes.
In Miami, Tiffany & Co. paid homage to its one-time designer Andy Warhol with a superstar party that brought Hailey Bieber and J. Balvin to its new Design District pop-up and café (located at the OTL space). The pop art riffs on paper cups are the perfect way to have coffee there—no tiara required.
The hits keep coming for Casablanca—just check out the brand’s new Art Deco-inspired collab with multi-brand fashion house The Webster, which combines piña colada-esque colorways with slinky, soft shapes and fabrics made for beach day dreams.
Nobody could buy a ticket to Saint Laurent’s exclusive relaunch party for Madonna’s boundary-smashing Sex book, created with photographer Steven Meisel and first launched in 1991. But Saint Laurent is selling a very, very limited-edition of the coveted work and (as of now) it’s still available online. Run, don’t walk.

Just before the Picassos, a cheery gallery of Louis Vuitton artist collaborations—including pieces by Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, and Alex Katz—lured attendees at the official Art Basel fair. A new Yayoi Kusama range will debut in 2023—until then, to hold you over, resale sites like Fashionphile and The RealReal have some LV x Stephen Sprouse hits from 2011 that we wish we’d bought the first time around (and fortunately still can).
For Bottega Veneta’s fashion show in September, Erykah Badu and Kirsten Dunst sat on these resin-crafted chairs by artist Gaetano Pesce. Now, they can be yours...for $9,800, that is. (Plan B: $98 Bottega sunglasses.)
Conceptual artist Lukas Gschwandtner ripped apart a Fendi Peekaboo bag for his provocative “Triclinium” installation at Design Miami, which explored Roman antiquities and the echoes of history in everyday life. For those who prefer their luxury goods whole, try one of Fendi’s boutiques for the non-shredded version.
They sound like they’re from a spy movie, but these Ray-Ban Stories glasses actually film what you see and hear in real time—and helped the classic sunglasses label host a “creative beat exchange” with Hymn Logic, Soniq Sounds Hit-Boy, Siobhan Bell, and Wondagurl. Sonic art—it’s a thing.
Once upon a time in Wynwood, a watch giant and an indie designer came together for Hublot Loves Football, a celebration of art and soccer in honor of the World Cup. While Hublot’s classic luxury time pieces are astoundingly crafted, Mikati’s signature arm candy was—as usual—the art world equivalent of a great big smile.

Just steps from the ocean, Villa Balmain showcased the digital and IRL work of Cuban contemporary artist Alexandre Arrechea. The brand also showcased some new Balmain looks on its guests, like the effortlessly chic white trousers seen on curator and author Kimberly Drew. Museum-quality!
