"I will be living in a bomber for fall. There are so many options, so you can really express your personality," Chauvin says. She suggests embroidering your jacket with your initials for a personal touch.

Skirts That Move
"There is something so dramatic and dazzling about a long, flowing skirt," Chauvin tells us. The pleated midi has been seen on the runways of Gucci, Valentino, and more, securing its place as a wardrobe necessity. Chauvin points to its versatility, too. "Dress it down with a cool bootie and cozy sweater or up with metallic sandals, a tie-neck blouse, and a moto jacket."

The lace-up trend is all about a subtle detail that can elevate even the simplest pieces. "It lends a bit of edge while still being completely wearable," Chauvin says. "The lacing on this trouser takes it way beyond your basic 'wear-to-work' pant."

"I typically shy away from overly feminine or flirty, but the dark, moody florals for fall are so captivating," Chauvin says. "I also love a silk dress because it's so transitional and perfect for unpredictable weather." This season, opt for floral prints that have a black background, which is more appropriate for fall than bright, springy prints.
