Karl Lagerfeld loves to go all in on a heavy-handed theme when presenting his collections for Chanel (feminism! glaciers! a shopping center!) but his latest, for Chanel couture spring/summer 2017, didn't really have one. If anything, this collection emphasized glamour and restrained elegance, and the set—mirrored walls and floors like in Chanel's flagship store on the Rue Cambon—only served to reflect the impeccable craftsmanship and beauty of the clothes.
