Behold Jane Birkin in a new set of images to present Saint Laurent's Le Smoking, the revolutionary tuxedo first designed by Yves Sant Laurent for women in 1966 as part of his 'Pop Art' collection.
The style, shocking at time of its debut when it was still seen as controversial for women to trousers in public, has since become a signature of the Parisian fashion house, its status cemented by an iconic image shot by Helmut Newton in 1975.
Birkin, who inspired the Hermes bag of the same name, was present at Saint Laurent's autumn/winter 2016 show at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.
It model/actress Cara Delevingne also fronts the house's second campaign for its La Collection de Paris. She appears in a series of images, shot in New York City by creative director Hedi Slimane.
The two join a long list of legendary, era-defining women to have posed for the luxury brand since Hedi Slimane took the helm in 2012, including Joni Mitchell and Marianne Faithful.
