Hell hath no fury like February women's fashion week. New York City freezes over while fashion editors zip between runway shows, and somehow, look presentable. By going through this yearly, we've learned that the kindest (and warmest) thing you can for yourself during the winter is stock up on Uniqlo Heattech. The meant-to-be-layered collection is made of a technical fabric that converts your body's moisture into heat. In other words, it makes for magical leggings, turtlenecks, and more products designed to keep you crazy warm. Ahead, nine editors weigh in on why Heattech products are "heaven sent," necessary to "survive the worst of winter," and will make you look "a little more put together, and a lot more toasty."

"I'll say it: I was very skeptical of the power of Uniqlo Heattech. But after the Polar Vortex winter of 2015 I became a believer. My favorites are the perfect-for-layering turtlenecks and the leggings that I often wear under pants and jeans."

"I went to college in Maine so I had to learn quickly how to stay warm. The unspoken dress code there seemed to essentially be: swaddle thyself in Patagonia. Patagonia is great but expensive and that kind of outerwear is pretty bulky! Heattech tights keep me just as warm as any fleece-lined pants or long underwear but let me wear what I want when it gets cold—thinner dress pants, skirts, and dresses."

"I'm actually in love with the Heattech camisole. I wear one under everything everyday in the winter. It’s simple, chic, and functional."

"In the winter I wear Uniqlo Heattech pants almost everyday. The are honestly the best of the best. When indoors I wear the same pants as loungewear. They are super comfortable and feel like a second skin."

"Praise be to Uniqlo Heattech tights, especially the sweater ones, which make wearing skirts all winter long a possibility (I have an ongoing no pants wardrobe challenge). They are what allow me to walk and run around New York City in polar vortex weather for hours (or at least an hour when it's crazy cold) and still feel cozy warm. Layering them is also great and truly a game-changing life hack. In them I can survive the worst of winter."

"Despite the fact that I had to wear skirts to school for 13 endless years, I was the kind of obnoxious kid who would just not wear tights. Especially in the winter! My mother begged me, but I refused. Tights were uncomfortable and itchy. Besides, they barely made a difference. I much preferred bare legs. And then I discovered Uniqlo Heattech. I wouldn't dare brave another winter (let alone a #bombcyclone) without them. Don't be like childhood me. Wear tights."

My entire winter wardrobe revolves around which Heattech product I decide to wear that day. For hellish cyclone bomb days (or whatever new phrase they made up to describe our IRL Hoth), Uniqlo's affordable turtlenecks will make you feel a little more put together, and a lot more toasty."

"I absolutely love these so much. Since my first winter I spent here, I remember going into Uniqlo to find what I needed to keep me warm. These tights have been heaven sent. They're the best thing for layering without feeling like you have on too much. My co-workers would say that I wear too many layers, but it's important for me to keep my Southern skin warm in the midst of these extremely frigid temperatures."

"I'm from Australia, so if you can imagine me confused, frantically trying to figure out how to deal with snow, you have a good sense of how I coped with NYC's deep freeze. But thanks to Uniqlo's Heattech tights, I barely have to change up my style. Just add a pair—or two."
