Last night, as the sun was setting over a private residence at Wölffer Estate Vineyard, the New York fashion crowd gathered for an intimate al fresco dinner hosted by Joey and Marc Wölffer and Brunello Cucinelli CEO Massimo Caronna to celebrate summer and the Italian luxury brand’s presence and community in nearby East Hampton. “What a perfect night,” Caronna mused before a table of 92 guests, including Emma Roberts, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and ELLE editor-in-chief Nina Garcia, clad in Brunello Cucinelli designs. “It’s an honor to see some wonderful, chic, well-dressed people, beautiful people. The thing about Wölffer and Cucinelli that we have in common [is] a sense of responsibility towards the territory that we’re in, a sense of responsibility towards the community, and this way of making a difference via all the work that we’re doing with our people that work for us.”
Caronna went on to describe how a majority of profits from the brand go back to the surrounding town and employees that “have given us so much on a daily basis.”
Against the backdrop of a picturesque vineyard, flanked by horse stables and shingle-style cottages that are a staple of Long Island’s East End, attendees sipped cocktails by the pool while sharing stories about the Olympics and what’s left on their summer to-do lists. Emily Tisch Sussman, who co-owns Gotham FC, had just returned from the Paris Games to see the U.S. women’s soccer team, while Alina Cho asked facialist Iván Pol, a.k.a. The Beauty Sandwich, for an urgent appointment. “I need to get snatched!” she joked.
Next, everyone filtered into the dining area, where they sat at an extra-long wooden farmhouse table under fairy lights for a five-course meal paired with Wölffer Estate wine. “I mean, this table is so beautiful,” Rachel Zoe said before posing for photos. After a dinner of burrata, asparagus risotto, and fish, gelato was served at a dessert cart, soundtracked to a DJ set by Alix Brown.
Other notable attendees included Cody John, Kate Love, Kevin Love, Tamu McPherson, Katie Couric, Delfina Blaquier, Nacho Figueras, Molly Sims, Tracy Anderson, Elizabeth Kurpis, Elizabeth Saltzman, Fern Mallis, Isaac Boots, Kelly Turlington Burns, Rickie De Sole, Sara Beltrán, Sophie Elgort, and more.
