Last week, thousands of new innovations premiered at Las Vegas’ Consumer Electronics Show (CES). From skin scanners to eerily human-like robots to suitcases that follow you around, we saw all kinds of tech that’s sure to shape our very near future. Here, some of the products that stood out.

At-home skin analysis is now a reality with Neutrogena’s new scanner that uses sophisticated skin imaging technology to measure your pores, fine lines/wrinkles, and moisture levels. Simply attach the SkinScanner to your phone and hold the lens up to your face for a quick evaluation and receive personalized product recommendations that’ll appear on the accompanying app.

Laundroid Robot

The dream! Never folding laundry again. Seven Dreamer’s Laundroid robot is a wardrobe management innovation that allows a user to load dry laundry and it’ll use image analysis, artificial intelligence, and robotics to sort, fold and organize all your clothes (it’ll also remember each item so you’ll know what’s dirty and what’s clean AND it can offer styling advice through a concierge service).

Smart speakers with virtual assistants from Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant were in abundance on the show floor. Wearable company Ashley Chloe went the extra mile by launching the world’s first smart, modular, wireless-charging home entertainment system that’ll play music, project a movie, take a 360-degree photo, and serve as a smart light.

Wearables are always a difficult category to standout in, but L’Oreal’s UV Sense gave us all a reason to pay attention. This battery-free electronic UV sensor can measure exposure levels and store up to three months of data, meaning you’ll know when you’re most exposed to damaging rays. Not to mention it’s designer, Yves Behar, made it small—and beautiful—enough to attach as a charm to your jewelry or on your nail as an accessory.
