The trailer for Crazy Rich Asians, the movie adaptation of Kevin Kwan's best-selling book by the same name, is finally here. The highly anticipated movie, directed by John M. Chu (Now You See Me 2, Step Up 2), features an all-Asian cast and tells the story of Rachel Chu, an American-born Chinese university professor who travels to boyfriend Nick Young's hometown of Singapore for his best friend's wedding. After discovering he comes from generations of ridiculous (seriously, ridiculous) wealth and is considered one of the most eligible bachelors among Asia's elite, Rachel is confronted with countless forces that try to tear her and Nick apart. Basically, it's going to be the best. Here, everyone who's been cast in the film and who they'll be playing.
Constance Wu as Rachel Chu
Wu, of Fresh Off the Boat fame, will star as Rachel Chu. Chu, an "ABC" (American-born Chinese) is a Stanford-educated economics professor at NYU born to a single mom.
Henry Golding as Nick Young
Golding—a travel host/presenter for the likes of National Geographic—will star as Nick Young, a dashing NYU history professor who never disclosed his old money status to his girlfriend, Rachel.
Michelle Yeoh as Eleanor Young
Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies) will play Nick's mother Eleanor Young, who finds Rachel unworthy of her son and will stop at nothing to bring her down.
Gemma Chan as Astrid Leong
Gemma Chan, who starred in Humans and appeared in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will play Nick Young's cousin Astrid Leong. Astrid is the only genuine friend of Rachel's in the high-class set but faces family drama of her own behind the scenes.
Awkwafina as Peik Lin
Awkwafina is a rapper and comedian best recognized from MTV's Girl Code. She's also set to star in Ocean's Eight with Rihanna and Sandra Bullock. As Peik Lin, she'll play Rachel Chu's rambunctious best friend from college.
Chris Pang as Colin
Chris Pang (Marco Polo) will play Colin, Nick Young's childhood best friend, whose extravagant nuptials with model Araminta are set to be Asia's answer to the royal wedding.
Sonoya Mizuno as Araminta
Sonoya Mizuno, a model and actress who recently starred in campaigns for Calvin Klein and Ivy Park, and appeared in La La Land, will play Colin's fiancée Araminta, a well-known model across Asia.
Harry Shum Jr. as Charlie Wu
The former Glee star will play Charlie, a tech billionaire and Astrid's former fiancé. He also currently stars as Magnus Bane on Freeform's hit show Shadowhunters.
Remy Hii as Alistair Cheng
The Australian actor, who was in Marco Polo, will play Nick's cousin, who works in the movie business in Hong Kong and is dating a soap opera star the family disapproves of.
Ken Jeong as Goh Wye Mun
The Dr. Ken and Community star will play Goh Wye Mun, Peik Lin's new-money father, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Nico Santos as Oliver T'sien
Superstore star Santos plays Oliver T'sien, the friendly style expert who helps Rachel with her transformation. You can watch the hilarious makeover scene in the latest teaser.
Ronny Chieng as Edison Cheng
Author Kevin Kwan announced that Ronny Chieng of The Daily Show fame was cast in the movie. Per Entertainment Weekly, he plays the status-conscious cousin of Rachel's boyfriend Nick.
Pierre Png as Michael Teo
Png plays Michael Teo in the film. Kwan called him one of "Singapore's finest actors" in a Facebook post from 2017.
Fiona Xie as Kitty Pong
Fiona Xie is another local Singapore talent whose casting was announced in Kwan's Facebook post. She plays Kitty Pong, a status-seeking actress who is dating Alistair, Buzzfeed reports.
Jing Lusi as Amanda Ling
Lusi stars in Stan Lee's Lucky Man, a U.K. show, and was also announced in Kwan's Facebook post.
Jimmy O. Yang as Bernard Tai
Yang, who stars on HBO's Silicon Valley, will play a friend of Nick and Colin.
