Summer has come and gone, and with it went the thrill of the Paris Olympics, Colin and Penelope’s Bridgerton romance, and our weekly reactions to House of the Dragon; but as we head into the end of the year, there’s still plenty to look forward to on TV. After all, with the sun setting earlier and temperatures gradually dropping, there’s no better place to be than on your couch. While end-of-summer hits like Industry, Only Murders in the Building, and The Rings of Power are still airing weekly, a packed fall (and early winter) season awaits. True-crime adaptations abound (hello, Ryan Murphy’s Monsters) and books continue to head to the screen (like The Perfect Couple and Interior Chinatown). And if you happened to be missing Nicole Kidman from your screen, then you’re well in luck: She’ll appear in two more shows before the end of the year.
Here are dozens of shows we’re excited to binge this fall, listed chronologically in order of their release dates.
Slow Horses Season 4
Gary Oldman continues to lead a dysfunctional group of spies at Slough House, otherwise known as MI5’s rejects. Season 4 is adapted from the fourth book in Mick Herron’s Slough House series, Spook Street, and begins with a London bombing.
Premieres September 4 on Apple TV+.
Tell Me Lies Season 2
Hulu’s adaptation of Carola Lovering’s book continues as Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White) return to college post-breakup, but their volatile relationship isn’t done yet. Gossip Girl’s Thomas Doherty joins as a recurring guest star.
Premieres September 4 on Hulu.
The Perfect Couple
Susanne Bier (The Undoing) adapts Elin Hilderbrand’s beachy murder mystery with a killer cast, including Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson, and Meghann Fahy. Could we expect a Big Little Lies or White Lotus, but in a Nancy Meyers kind of Nantucket?
Premieres September 5 on Netflix.
Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist
Based on the iHeart Radio podcast, this limited series follows the ambitious underground heist the night of Muhammad Ali’s 1970 comeback fight. Kevin Hart (who also executive produces), Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle, and Terrence Howard star.
Premieres September 5 on Peacock.
My Brilliant Friend Season 4
The adaptation on Elena Ferrante’s famous title comes to a close with its fourth season, which follows friends Elena and Lila in their adult years in 1980s Italy. This means two new stars will play the duo: Alba Rohrwacher takes over the role of Elena, while Irene Maiorino will now star as Lila.
Premieres September 9 on HBO.
Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2
Emily is briefly ditching Paris for Rome in the second half of season 4. But how will that affect her relationship with Gabriel? And remember, Camille has big news to share too.

How to Die Alone
After bringing her charm to Insecure and The White Lotus, Natasha Rothwell created, produces, and stars in this new Hulu series. How to Die Alone follows a woman who’s never been in love, but a near-death experience makes her take control of her life.
Premieres September 13 on Hulu.
Three Women
Lisa Taddeo’s groundbreaking book is finally headed to the screen with the author herself executive producing the series. Shailene Woodley, portraying a version of Taddeo onscreen (a character named Gia), is joined by Betty Gilpin, DeWanda Wise, and Gabrielle Creevy.
Premieres September 13 on Starz.
The Golden Bachelorette
The first-ever Golden Bachelorette is Joan Vassos, a school administrator from Maryland. After vying for love on Gerry Turner’s season, it’s her turn to hand out roses, with contenders including a rancher, a “girl dad,” a retired banking CEO, and a retired Navy captain.
Premieres September 18 on ABC.
Agatha All Along
WandaVision was one of the first (and few) official Marvel Cinematic Universe series to demonstrate that the world of the films could translate into inventive, discourse-dominating TV. But that was early 2021, and three years later the show—and Marvel itself—doesn’t boast the industry chokehold it once did. Still, beloved WandaVision character Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) might have something to say about that, should Agatha All Along follow the creative bar set by its predecessor. Hahn will be joined by Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, and Patti LuPone in the cast.
Premieres September 18 on Disney+.
The Penguin
This spinoff of Matt Reeves’s Batman (yes, the Robert Pattinson one) focuses on Colin Farrell’s grimy mob boss Oz Cobb, a.k.a. The Penguin. Cristin Milioti plays Sofia Falcone, daughter of Gotham’s notorious Carmine Falcone.
Premieres September 19 on HBO.
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story
After the Jeffrey Dahmer story, Ryan Murphy’s Monster anthology will next focus on Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who were convicted of killing their parents in 1989. Up-and-comers Nicholas Alexander Chavez (General Hospital) and Cooper Koch (They/Them) play the siblings while Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny play their father and mother, Jose and Kitty Menendez.
Premieres September 19 on Netflix.
La Maison
Arriving just in time for fashion month, La Maison is a French-language drama following two rival families competing for dominance in the high-fashion world.
Premieres September 20 on Apple TV+.
Grotesquerie
Travis Kelce is about to make his acting debut—are you ready for it? The NFL star appears in this Ryan Murphy drama about a small town plagued with a series of crimes. The real star of the show, though, is Emmy winner Niecy Nash, who leads as Detective Lois Tryon.
Premieres September 25 on FX.
Nobody Wants This
Fleabag’s Hot Priest, meet your match: a Hot Rabbi played by Adam Brody. Created by Erin Foster, this unconventional love story (partially inspired by her own life) also stars Kristen Bell, Succession’s Justine Lupe, and Timothy Simons.
Premieres September 26 on Netflix.
The Real Housewives of New York Season 15
We are so back. The new cast of RHONY reassembles, this time with even more new additions: art curator Racquel Chevremont and designer Rebecca Minkoff.
Premieres October 1 on Bravo.
Heartstopper Season 3
It’s hard not to fall in love with Heartstopper, the so-earnest-it-works romance that brings to life Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series of the same name. Nick and Charlie’s future is a mystery (unless, of course, you’ve already read the books), but expect plenty of romantic revelations—especially after that prom night.

The Franchise
From the Veep creator and a Succession writer comes another satire, this one pointing at our superhero fatigue. The Franchise follows the crew making a superhero movie, and all the fuckups happening behind the scenes.

Abbott Elementary Season 4
It’s back to school season, which means Abbott Elementary is on its way back, and Quinta Brunson even teased there’ll be a major crossover episode. It will “change television as we know it,” she said. We can’t wait to see it.

La Máquina
It’s an Y tu mamá también reunion with Gael García Bernal starring as a washed-up boxer and Diego Luna as his manager focused on bringing him back to glory.
