Archie gets some support from his friends in the hospital.
After months of tiding ourselves over with set photos and nuggets of info from trailers, it's a relief to finally have the season two premiere of Riverdale in sight. The first photographs from the episode—ominously titled "A Kiss Before Dying"—have just been released, and by the looks of things it's going to be an emotional season premiere. Check out the images below, and mark your calendars for the start of season two on October 11.
Things aren't looking great for Archie's dad, who was shot by a mysterious assailant in the closing moments of season one.
Poor Archie.
At least he'll have Veronica to support him, now that they're officially a Thing.
Do we have a ship name for these two yet? Varchie? (Serious Q: is anyone actually shipping them?)
But Veronica may be preoccupied with her own paternal issues, now that her infamous dad Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) is in town.
Bughead is still going strong.... for now.
And so is flawless queen Cheryl Blossom, who seems to have recovered from that rough patch in the season finale.
