Last night, the stars came out for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala in Los Angeles, wearing their best formal looks for an evening of true glamour. This is the fourth year for the annual event, which raises money for the museum’s exhibitions, education initiatives, and public programming. It also serves as an occasion to honor cinema and the people who make it. This year’s honorees were Paul Mescal, Rita Moreno, and Quentin Tarantino; Mescal received the Vantage Award as an emerging artist, Moreno was honored with the Icon Award, and Tarantino was given the Luminary Award.
The evening’s co-chairs included Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Tyler Perry, and Academy Museum trustee Dr. Eric Esrailian. The gala’s host committee was comprised of Kirsten Dunst, Ariana Grande, Demi Moore, and Saoirse Ronan.
