The Reason Blake Lively Didn’t Join Taylor Swift at the 2025 Super Bowl

Last year, Blake Lively joined Taylor Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, joined by Swift’s other friends, Ice Spice and Ashley Avignone. This year, Avignone and Ice Spice returned to watch the game with Swift. Lively did not.

However, the actress’s absence is not a surprise. A source told Entertainment Tonight ahead of the game that Lively wasn’t going.

“Blake is not planning to join Taylor at the Super Bowl this year. They had a blast together last year, but this year Taylor is bringing others along,” the insider said.

So who came with Swift? The Haim sisters in addition to Ice Spice and Avignone.

The Chiefs are playing against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans. Swift arrived on Friday. The Eras Tour star was seen joining Kelce, his teammate Patrick Mahomes, and Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, that evening for dinner at French restaurant Lilette.

According to an interview with Kelce’s older brother, Jason, shared on February 4 by People, the whole family planned to be there.

“Yeah, I think everybody’s coming in,” he shared. “I mean, I don’t want to speak for everybody, but I think obviously, our whole family. I believe, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and his friends. I mean, Trav always travels like, full.”

Swift was last seen with Lively in October 2024, enjoying a double date with Kelce and Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, at The Corner Store in New York. A few weeks later, on October 25, Lively and Reynolds were in New Orleans for Swift’s first Eras Tour show in the Louisiana city. They were seen dancing at Caesars Superdome by a fan who shared a clip online.

In late January, a source told Us Weekly that Lively and Swift remain “close friends” amid Lively and her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni’s lawsuits against each other making headlines. People also reported that there has “been no rift” between Swift and Lively.
