Hailey Bieber’s Saint Laurent tuxedo minidress wasn’t the only tiny outfit she wore last night. The model changed into a corset minidress, a custom piece made in a metallic nude fabric by designer Dilara Findikoglu, for the evening’s after-parties. Bieber was photographed leaving her hotel in the look.
The star attended the Met Gala on her own this year; her husband, Justin Bieber, opted to stay home and watch the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game instead. He did publicly support his wife on Instagram, however, posting a photo of her look set to Charlie Wilson’s song “There Goes My Baby.”
The couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August. Prior to giving birth, the model spoke to W magazine about her pregnancy. “In the beginning, it was super emotional for me,” she said. “Like, ‘I love this human [Justin] so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?’ I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us.”
She skipped last year’s Met Gala because she’d been expecting and had only recently revealed the news. “I probably could have [hidden my pregnancy] until the end,” she told W magazine. “But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
