Almost two months after Jennifer Lopez’s divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized, a source tells People that the actress is not looking for new love.

“She’s focused on work and is not dating,” said the source. “She’s happy as it is."

“Life goes on and if anyone can move forward and be positive about it, it’s Jennifer. She sees everything as a lesson,” the insider continued. “She was hurt by their sudden separation and Ben’s unwillingness to not work on their marriage. She really wanted it to work out.”

This same week, rumors circulated that Lopez may have sparked a romantic connection with her Kiss Of The Spider Woman co-star Tonatiuh after she posted a picture of him in her Instagram Stories with a heart emoji. However, a source told Us Weekly, “There’s nothing going on here. They’re just friends.”

In a new interview with GQ published on March 25, Affleck shared some reflections on his former marriage to Lopez, explaining it was “important to say” that there wasn’t “some major fracture” despite what some viewers inferred from the 2024 documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

“It’s not like you can watch that documentary and go, ‘Oh, now I understand the issues that these two had,’” he said. “There’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something. But honestly, the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting. There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, ‘Hey, what happened?’ Well, there is no, ‘This is what happened.’”

Lopez and Affleck first dated and got engaged in the early 2000s, before splitting up in 2004. They rekindled a relationship in 2021 and were married in 2022. Lopez and Affleck were both declared officially single on February 21 of this year after Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024.
