On Friday, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen heading to Del Frisco’s Grille at Brookfield Place in New York City for a date night. It was a rare public appearance since the Super Bowl in February, as the couple has been laying low since the Kansas City Chiefs lost the big game to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In photos of them leaving their car, first shared by People, Swift is wearing an oversize gray blazer and burgundy heels, her short skirt creating a no-pants look. Kelce was also in gray, wearing a button-down over a white T-shirt, denim jeans, and a pair of sunglasses. They were seen in New York on Thursday as well, enjoying a late dinner at the Crane Club with friends.
Sources speaking with Us Weekly this week say that the couple has been “laying low,” and enjoying quality time together.
“Taylor and Travis are taking it easy right now,” said the first source. “They’ve been laying low in Kansas City...They went to Park City to go skiing.”
A second source added, “They’ve been traveling, spending precious time together and letting the rest of the world go for a bit.”
A third source said of their outing to the Crane Club, “Travis and four of his friends arrived. Taylor didn’t arrive until 11 P.M. There were seven people there, including them. They all stayed until 3 A.M. The group were all laughing and having a great time.”
Swift and Kelce were “very cute” during the gathering and Kelce “had his arm [wrapped] around” the pop star.
On February 26, another source speaking with Page Six reported something similar, saying they had spent some time abroad together during this break.
“Taylor and Travis had a really nice time reconnecting after a very busy year,” the insider said. “Taylor and Travis have stepped out for a date night since returning to the U.S. but went unnoticed when they did so... They weren’t photographed or anything, and enjoyed a low-key night out on the town together.”
