After presenting at the Academy Awards, Miley Cyrus continued her star-studded evening with a stop at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The singer switched into black Maison Margiela column dress for the big event. She debuted baby bangs and had her hair styled in a ponytail.

Cyrus posed on the red carpet with her boyfriend, Maxx Morando, who matched her in a black suit. He also accompanied her on the Academy Awards red carpet.

Cyrus’s year is truly just getting started. The singer will be releasing her next album, Something Beautiful, later in 2025. She teased the project to Harper’s Bazaar in November.

Turns out, her partner, [Maxx] Morando, has been working with her on the release. Cyrus explained she has a history of creating art with loved ones: “I worked with my dad forever. That’s how me and my ex-husband [Liam Hemsworth] met each other. I’ve always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much.”

She explained that her album “was inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall. We really leaned in. And so I have this heart-first attachment to it. My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.”

It is a “hypnotizing and glamorous” body of work, Cyrus shared. “It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.”

She continued: “I would like to be a human psychedelic for people. I don’t want anyone trying to be like me or imitate me or even be inspired by me. I want to impact frequencies in your body that make you vibrate at a different level.”
