Emma Stone has stepped onto the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars, returning to the annual ceremony one year after winning Best Actress for her critically acclaimed role in Poor Things. This year, she will be a presenter, joining a lineup that includes Scarlett Johansson, Cillian Murphy, Zoe Saldaña, and more.
For the occasion, Stone wore a shimmering custom nude dress by Louis Vuitton on the red carpet, paired with a classic old Hollywood hairstyle. She posed with her new pixie cut, which she debuted at the Golden Globes. Stone and her husband, David McCary, also had a few pictures snapped together. They run a film and television production company, Fruit Tree, together and worked on A Real Pain, which is nominated for two awards tonight.
Stone’s last appearance at the Oscars was a career milestone, marking her second Best Actress win after La La Land in 2017.
Since then, Stone has continued working on a range of projects, including Kinds of Kindness, which premiered in 2024, and Bugonia, which is set for release later this year. In an interview with The Academy, she reflected on her experience playing Bella Baxter in Poor Things, saying, “It was such a joy to embody her and live as this person who goes about life without any shame or fear. It was the joy of a lifetime to get to play her. This role is unlike anything I’ve ever done before or anything I’ll ever get to do again.”
Stone also starred in Nathan Fielder’s TV series The Curse, alongside the actor and comedian and his longtime friend Benny Safdie. Of the two parts, she told The Hollywood Reporter, “In Poor Things, I played the most pure, open, nonjudgmental person. And then the opposite: My Curse character is all masks and hiding and judgment and self-loathing and lack of confidence and all of that.”
