Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo will host the Tonys in June, but at this evening’s SAG Awards, the actress is on presenting duty. She made her grand entrance in a silver woven gown with fringe details on the neckline and sleeves, somehow reminiscent of both the Tin Man and Scarecrow of the Wizard of Oz, which of course inspired Wicked. Erivo also rocked her signature long nails, decorated in matching metallic hues and hints of emerald green.

The actress, who plays Elphaba in the hit movie, is up for two awards tonight: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture with the rest of the Wicked cast.

Next weekend, she’ll join her co-stars at the Oscars, where the film is up for Best Picture. Erivo is also nominated for Best Actress.

She reflected on that milestone on Instagram when nominations were announced in January, writing, “Moments like this don’t come along very often, and when they do, it is sacrilege to let them pass by without a moment of gratitude. I am grateful, grateful to @theacademy, grateful to be a part of something that makes people feel seen, grateful to be a cog in the wheel of a piece that makes us believe in magic, grateful to have experienced a dream come true, and deeply deeply grateful for this unbelievable recognition. I often get asked what I would say to my younger self. Well today there’s nothing to be said. She is smiling, beaming, glowing from ear to ear. That speaks volumes.”

She spoke to ELLE in our Women in Hollywood issue about how her pursuit of acting was her way of being true to herself.

“I knew I wanted to be an actress. I knew I wanted to be a singer. I knew I wanted to be successful,” she began. “Those are the things that were very clear to me. I don’t know that I would have imagined it like this. It’s wonderful, not just because of the things that it comes with, but because I got to do it as me. To be at this point and to feel very much like myself, and to be also open to whatever growth may come, feels really wonderful.”
