Coco Jones is back on the Grammys red carpet for the third year in a row. The seven-time Grammy nominee is honored once again this year for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for her hit “Here We Go (Uh Oh).”
Jones wore a cut-out dress, custom-made by Defaïence.
Jones attended last year’s Grammy Awards as a five-time nominee, taking home her first award for Best R&B Performance for “ICU.” “Being nominated for five Grammys was not a sentence I ever thought I was going to hear at this stage in my career,” the singer told ELLE in May 2024. “That’s been the most unbelievable. And winning a Grammy feels kind of surreal as well”
Reflecting on her current status as a seven-time nominee, she told Billboard in a 2024 red carpet interview, “It feels a little surreal, honestly. But I think inside, I’m just the same girl. I kind of forget that this is my life because I love what I do and I have since I was a little girl. So it all feels like déjà vu.”
This year’s nominations come as Jones continues to balance her music career with acting, including her ongoing role as Hilary Banks in Peacock’s Bel-Air.
In a November 2024 red carpet interview with Extra TV, Jones spoke about staying grounded despite her rapid rise. “I think before all of this, I had to find that inner happiness within myself, and that’s what I hold onto the most. Everything else is just the icing on the cake.”
Jones has also performed at major events over the past year, including the 2024 BET Awards, the Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Most recently, she performed the national anthem at the College Football Playoff championship on January 20.
