On Sunday, Travis Kelce and his team the Kansas City Chiefs played the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. His girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was not in the audience this week, though she has attended a number of his games this season.
Swift was not at the Chiefs’ last game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. The pop star tends to avoid away games, reportedly due to security concerns. Swift and her team feel familiar and comfortable within Kansas City’s Arrowhead stadium, making it a better choice for visits. The star has also been kept away from games by her busy schedule during her Eras Tour, which had her traveling all over the world.
Swift’s tour came to a close in Vancouver on Dec. 8, 2024. Since then, she has been spending plenty of time with friends and family throughout the holiday. Kelce threw her a wrap party in Kansas City attended by a number of her close friends. They also celebrated her 35th birthday together, and reportedly spent a quiet New Year’s Eve in Kansas City as well while Kelce prepared for Sunday’s game with mandatory practices.
A source told Page Six, “[They] spent the days leading up to New Year’s in New York. But they flew back together to Kansas City on Monday.”
The source added, “Taylor and Travis spent New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City and shared a kiss as soon as it hit midnight. It was very romantic.”
Just after Christmas, the couple were seen in New York, visiting their friends Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley. They were then spotted in the Meatpacking district dressed for an evening out.
Soon after, Swift’s close friend Ashley Avignone shared a carousel of photos on Instagram including the star from her birthday weekend, taken in New York.
