Last year, Timothée Chalamet wore a black sequin Celine Homme suit at the Golden Globes, which complemented his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s black lace dress. But for the 2025 ceremony, the actor stepped on the red carpet solo and brought a pop of color to his ensemble on the red carpet.
Chalamet posed on his own, wearing a blue dotted silk scarf with his suit, in lieu of a traditional tie.
Chalamet is nominated tonight for his work in A Complete Unknown, where he plays Bob Dylan. Last month, he spoke to NPR about how he spent five years preparing to become the legendary singer on-screen. (The film got delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent SAG-AFTRA strike.)
“You know, what was initially four months and where I thought I would have the advantage of playing Bob not as a member of the church of Bob in the sense that I wasn’t one of these mega fans yet turned into a five-year process where I feel I’ve almost turned over every stone available to me now,” he said.
When asked what part of playing Dylan was the toughest, Chalamet replied that it was hard to choose. “It was really a process of osmosis,” he said of learning to play instruments, sing, talk, and move like Dylan. “You know, I don’t have categories. I don’t have a ruler with different sections of stuff that I’m learning. I really try to do it all at once, and my way in was the music. I love this man’s music. These are the songs of life.”
