Saoirse Ronan has been killing it—perhaps even harder than usual—this press cycle. While promoting her new films, The Outrun and Blitz, this season, she has stepped out in chic, elevated, ugh-she-looks-so-good looks by the likes of Louis Vuitton and JW Anderson, often styled by the sought-after Danielle Goldberg. And she continued that style streak as she arrived at ELLE’s Women in Hollywood event in Los Angeles tonight, held in partnership with Ralph Lauren, Harry Winston, and TikTok.

Ronan stepped onto the carpet wearing a nude strapless gown by The Row with her hair styled up.

She posed on her own, without her husband, Slow Horses star Jack Lowden. The couple privately married in July and made a post-wedding red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmy Awards.

Ronan opened up to ELLE about keeping her personal life out of the public eye. “I like that people don’t know my business. I just fundamentally believe that they don’t need to. I’m an actor, and the side of me that’s out there that I want people to see is in the work,” she said.

But she admits that not having a social media presence has gotten in the way of landing some roles. “I also think I was very lucky that when I was coming up, it was right before social media really took off,” she continued. “I can see, with the slightly younger generation, how they’ve felt the pressure to have that presence. And to be honest, that is justified, because I’ve been in audition rooms where I haven’t gotten a role because I didn’t have enough Twitter followers or whatever.

“And in the end, I was like, ‘Okay, well, I don’t want to be in a movie like that, anyway.’ But when you’re coming up and nobody knows who you are, and you’re trying to make a name for yourself in the world that we’re in now, I can understand how you can give that too much importance. I was lucky that I just got past that. It doesn’t make sense to me why I would share my personal life with people I don’t know.”
