Olivia Rodrigo took advantage of her Guts World Tour break to go to Venice and support her actor boyfriend, Louis Partridge, at the city’s film festival. The couple made their red carpet debut at the premiere of his upcoming series Disclaimer on Thursday. The singer wore a black semi-sheer floral gown with Lowercase NYC sunglasses and red lipstick, while Partridge opted for a tailored gray suit. The couple held hands in footage of them en route the festival.
Partridge and Rodrigo were first linked in October 2023. In March 2024, Rodrigo released her song “So American,” which fans speculated is about their relationship. In the track, she reflects on her growing feelings for a foreigner she’s dating. “And he says I’m so American / Oh God, I’m gonna marry him / If he keeps this shit up,” she sings at one point. Partridge is, of course, British.
That same month, Partridge spoke to British Vogue about why he prefers not to talk about their relationship. “Dating probably shouldn’t be done in the public eye,” he said. “There’s enough going on between two people. You don’t need the voices of thousands of others in your head.” He acknowledged that his level of fame is different from Rodrigo’s, adding, “I think she’s got it a lot worse than I have. I can be a bit of a normal person. She’s got tons and tons of eyes on her case.”
While the two don’t discuss their love publicly, it’s noteworthy that they’re physically present for each other’s career milestones. Partridge, for his part, has been seen at multiple stops of Rodrigo’s tour.
