On Sunday, Kate Middleton attended the Wimbledon finals to see Carlos Alcaraz face off against Novak Djokovic in the Grand Slam. The Princess of Wales was greeted with a standing ovation when she took her place in the Royal Box with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton.
Kate was wearing a lavender purple dress from Safiyaa with a wrap-style bodice and long skirt. It featured short puffed sleeves and she accessorized with thick gold hoops, a gold bangle, a small cream purse, and she wore a plaid bow brooch on one shoulder. On her feet were a pair of nude pumps. Princess Charlotte was wearing a blue dress with white polka dots.
Kate is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club and has attended many games in years past. She wanted to be at the tournament earlier, according to a message she sent to Andy Murray upon his retirement. Murray unfortunately had to miss a final match at Wimbledon. On the official X account for the Wales family, she signed off on the message, “An incredible #Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud @andy_murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C.”
In June, Kate did make a public appearance at the annual Trooping of the Colour with Prince William and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Just beforehand, she shared an update on her progress on social media, saying she had “good days” and “bad days.”
“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty,” Kate concluded the update. “Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”
