Megan Thee Stallion brought the glitz to Las Vegas' Grammys ceremony tonight, stepping out in an asymmetrical leopard print dress with a thigh-high leg slit on the red carpet. Stallion wore her hair up and accessorized with dramatic gold dangle earrings and stacked bracelets.
Stallion is nominated for Best Rap Performance (“Thot Sh*t”) this evening. Earlier this month, Stallion opened up to CR Fashion Book about her music career and Grammys history. (She won Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance at last year's ceremony.) The Houston native spoke about her decision to finish her college degree at Texas Southern University (in health administration) amid her bustling career.
“Juggling my music career and school was a challenge, but at the end of the day, I set a goal for myself to graduate and wanted to see it through until the end,” she said. “It was about making myself and my family proud and getting the right foundation to expand my career in the healthcare administration industry.”
She also addressed why she encourages women to embrace their sexuality through her music and beyond. “It’s not just about embracing sex, it’s about embracing the confidence you have in yourself as a woman,” she said. “Being bold is sexy. Sex is not just one-sided, men should not be the only people who are allowed to speak on sex. Women should be able to control the narrative of how they want to be treated, not only in public but in the bedroom. I’m confident in myself and I try to set an example for all my ladies to embrace their confidence and sexuality.”
