Meghan Markle completed one of her last big royal firsts tonight: her first work engagement alone, without Prince Harry, the Queen, or any other member of the family accompanying her. She chose to wear a black Givenchy dress with a leg slit—a designer choice that has a lot of meaning packed in it.
