As anyone who has attempted it can tell you, assembling a breast pump is not the easiest task. It's especially difficult if you're a postpartum mom, operating on far too little sleep, and trying to figure out this whole parenting thing. And yet, that is precisely when most women are confronted with the daunting prospect of putting together all those clear plastic parts and attaching them to a motor that looks like it belongs in the 1970s. But it shouldn't be a problem for some well-rested Popular Mechanics editors, right? Maybe not....
