This fake ad nails the hatefulness of Mississippi's new LGBT discrimination law. But more than that, it points out how absurd it is for the Magnolia State to be concerned with gay wedding cakes when it has so many real problems. It has the 3rd-highest teen pregnancy rate in the country, as FoD notes, but in 2014, it also had the nation's lowest life expectancy, highest rate of obesity, lowest median income, third-lowest high school graduation rate, and highest percentage of residents living below the poverty line. With a mountain to climb already, does the state need to send any business packing with a law that tackles non-existent problems born in bigoted hearts?
