Danish writer Peter Høeg once said, “Traveling tends to magnify all human emotions.” That likely includes heavy inspiration for photography, just ask Jonas Bendiksen, Cristina de Middel, Alessandra Sanguinetti, and Gregory Halpern, all of whom currently have their work displayed in the Impressions project, a new exhibition at Fotografiska New York on-view through August 30.
According to the museum, an outpost of the famed Swedish photography museum of the same name, “In Impressions, four celebrated photographers, inspired by extended stays at Autograph Collection Hotels, show us their takes on extraordinary places, revealing fresh perspectives through photography. This is the magic of travel—the chance to see things in a new way.”
Created and initiated by Autograph Collection Hotels, the project will next travel to Fotografiska’s Berlin and Shanghai locations and select Autograph Collection Hotels properties around the world through the end of the year, including those in South Carolina and London.
