The neck is so vulnerable for two reasons: “The skin is quite delicate with a thin dermis so there isn't as much collagen as in the face to keep it from wrinkling,” says Dr. Hadley King, a New York City-based dermatologist. “There are also fewer sebaceous glands, which means less oil to keep the skin well-moisturized and luminous.”
