Welcome to another episode of Beauty Haul, where we challenge contestants to both shop ($150 budget!) and apply a full face of makeup in less than 30 minutes.
Our next contestant is makeup artist turned beauty influencer Christen Dominique. Active on YouTube since 2009, Dominique now has six million followers, watching her videos on everything from how to apply foundation to her viral "two face" tutorials that compare American makeup trends to other countries'. In 2018, she hit a major milestone, launching her own makeup line, Dominique Cosmetics, which sells liquid lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, and highlighters.
The Houston native says it can take her up to three hours to do a full face of makeup—even more if she is filming it—but we tasked her to take on the massive Sephora at Hudson Yards and do her make up—false strip lashes and all. Using tricks like wetting black eyeshadow to mimic mascara on her lower lashes, she maximized her budget and time the way only a makeup artist could,
