This week’s screen time totaled 11 hours and 28 minutes. Buried in that number was a 4 A.M. text I sent to a friend, finally answering a question she’d asked earlier in the day. Her response? “Omg 4 A.M.???? Pls!!!!! Don’t start!!!” The exclamation points weren’t just playful—they were a warning. She knows something’s off: my old, unwelcome pattern is back. I’m having trouble sleeping again.
Whenever I mention my sleep struggles, I’m met with a chorus of “same” and a barrage of product recs. Trust me—I’ve tried them all. Ashwagandha supplements, “Sleepytime” teas, magnesium powders—even a TikTok-famous foot spray. Last year, my Spotify Wrapped included a song from one of the Brown Noise playlists. Some helped me fall asleep, but nothing kept me there. Late-night scrolls turned into 4 A.M. binges, and my body was running on catnaps and caffeine. When the exhaustion-induced shakes got worse than my latte jitters, I begged my doctor for help. Ugh, more supplements. She added valerian root, melatonin, and a stronger ashwagandha. Together, they were awful (think woozy pre-bed haze and the wildest dreams). Separately, they showed potential. Still, it felt ridiculous needing a whole apothecary’s worth of pills, teas, and sprays just to rest.
Then, in a passing conversation, a coworker suggested one more addition: Lemme Sleep, Kourtney Kardashian’s viral gummies. I rolled my eyes. What could Kourtney possibly know about sleep supplements?
Apparently, enough. I saw the TikToks singing its praises, but ignored them. If my doctor’s lineup barely worked, how would these trendy purple chews? Still, I test products for a living—and as reluctant as I was to give the Kardashian sisters another chance (sorry, Skims really is good), I gave them a shot.
I ditched everything else and took the recommended two gummies 30 minutes before bed. Inside the formula were familiar names, like magnesium, L-Theanine, chamomile, and lavender—plus melatonin, which has never done me any favors solo. Within minutes, though, I felt that familiar deceptive tired haze. The next thing I knew, I was out cold. No late-night replies, no doomscrolling.
Sure, I woke up once at 5:16 A.M. to pee (classic), but I miraculously slipped back into sleep easily. By 8:47 A.M., I woke up groggy but rested enough to log on for work without having to toss my phone or smacking my alarm off the bed. Nights two and three sealed it: consistency was important. My routine was set—eat, shower, pee, gummies, bed by 10 P.M. The deep sleep stretches grew longer, and the dreaded catnaps began to fade.
Lemme Sleep didn’t “cure” my insomnia, but in just a few days, it gave me something I hadn’t felt in ages: consistent rest. My latte intake dropped, my mid-day crashes eased, and I wasn’t bailing on plans just to make up for lost sleep. The only downside? More sleep meant more chances to scroll during the day, so my screen time didn’t exactly drop.
Kourtney, any chance you’ve got a Lemme Stop Checking His IG Stories?
