In excellent news for over-sleepers everywhere, 2017 is poised to be the year of natural-looking hair. "Fashion is all over the place right now but one thing in common is there are lots of prints and colors," says Marie Robinson, owner of the Marie Robison salon in New York City. "Hair usually balances that by being more subdued, natural, and softer in both texture and color." Similarly, Erica Liang, colorist at Frédéric Fekkai 5th Avenue, predicts plenty of dark (aka easy to maintain) shades of brown, and rooty blonde hues that are inherently low-maintenance. Here, plenty of inspiration for the hair appointment you'll want to book in the New Year.

<p>"These are not like the once-bad ombrés with such stark and severe demarcation lines, but&nbsp;a blonde that maintains depth, dimension, contrast, and has ends that gradually get lighter towards the bottom," says Tresch.</p>
