New couple Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro kept their distance on the red carpet at both the Oscars and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. But inside their third stop of the night, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s annual Oscar party, the couple acted like, well, a couple.
An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Barbaro and Garfield were inseparable at the party and were “kissing and dancing the whole night.”
A separate eyewitness at Vanity Fair’s party told the outlet that Garfield and Barbaro were also seen hanging out together and “having a great time.” Notably, Garfield and Barbaro were photographed leaving Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party together. They were also snapped arriving at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s soirée.
Fans noticed that even on the Academy Awards red carpet, Barbaro and Garfield arrived at the same time, fueling speculation that they traveled to the Oscars together.
Garfield was a presenter at the Oscars, while Barbaro was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her work in A Complete Unknown.
News of Barbaro and Garfield dating broke on February 21. A source told People then that “they’ve been really low-key and have been spending time together quietly.”
The pair was first photographed together at W magazine’s Best Performances party in Los Angeles. They posed alongside Eddie Redmayne and W magazine’s editor-at-large, Lynn Hirschberg.
On February 20, footage surfaced of them sitting together at a performance of Jonathan Bailey’s Richard II in London. One day later, People confirmed rumors that they were dating.
The actors haven’t spoken about their love lives in interviews. Garfield told Esquire in October, “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever.”
