Hot off the news that Leighton Meester will appear in the next season of Nobody Wants This—the hit Netflix comedy led by her husband, Adam Brody, and his co-star Kristen Bell—Meester and Brody took on the SAG Awards red carpet as a pair. Tonight, Brody is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, up against Ted Danson, Harrison Ford, Martin Short, and Jeremy Allen White.
The beloved Gossip Girl actress and Nobody Wants This star showed up at the SAGs in coordinating looks. Brody wore a charcoal Prada suit and dark green tie, while Meester opted for a green Elie Saab gown with cut-out embellishments, Santoni heels, and Mikimoto jewelry.
Of course, Nobody Wants This won’t be Brody and Meester’s first time working together on set. They first began dating in 2013, not too long after the release of their 2011 film The Oranges. In a 2024 interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Brody shared that he and Meester remain deeply embedded in each other’s Hollywood careers. They “are each other’s managers,” he said, “and we also have the same two agents...We are in each other’s shit in that way.”
When asked on Andy Cohen Live in December 2024 if becoming the internet’s “hot rabbi” boyfriend had caused any jealousy from Meester, Brody replied, “She’s very proud,” joking that they hadn’t experienced any issues “yet.” “No,” he continued. “I’d say it’s only a runway. Only smooth runway. You know, we’re each other’s biggest fans...Any opportunity is an opportunity for both of us.”
